So last week my lovely boyfriend and I embarked on the epic challenge of making the most delicious looking, calorie ridden chocolate treats ever. Find the recipe below!
You are going to need:
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (Cyber Candy)
- Double Stuffed Oreo Cookies (Tesco)
First, separate your oreo cookies. Keep all of the plain biscuit circles for later and keep the circles with the icing. Pop a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup in between two of these iced Oreo cookies to create a calorific sandwich. I managed to pick up a selection of Reese’s (milk chocolate, dark and white) from store Cyber Candy.
Don’t they look glorious! Here we can see the sandwiches prior to dipping. Yes, you heard correctly. Dipping. In more chocolate.
Melt a bar of chocolate in a bowl over a pan over boiling water. Make sure to keep the chocolate over a low heat or it will cook and turn into a biscuity mush. Chocolate, for me at least, is incredibly easy to burn! From here out, it gets incredibly messy. Once melted, we found the easiest way to apply was to simply pour the stuff over the sandwiches, and mold around the bases using tea spoons. Take your biscuit bases and crumble them over the top of the sandwiches and place the biscuits on greaseproof paper. Leave to set in the fridge and then get fat.
